Fireboy DML’s “Vibration” Reaches 100 Million Spotify Streams, Six Years After His Debut

“Vibration” is the oldest song in Fireboy DML’s 100 million club. It comes from Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps, the YBNL debut he released in November 2019, and it has now outrun “Jealous” and “What If I Say” from the same album by roughly 50 million streams each. On Saturday morning it passed 100 million streams on Spotify, according to the stats account WETALKSTATS.

It is his sixth song past the mark. The other five came later and louder: “Peru” twice over, once solo and once with Ed Sheeran, plus “Playboy” and “Bandana” with Asake from 2022’s Playboy, and “Sere,” his song with SPINALL. “Vibration” got there with no remix and no feature, at roughly 60,000 plays a day.

The timing is kind to him. His new album ZUKO! climbed to a new peak of No. 5 on Spotify Nigeria’s weekly Top Albums chart, per chart trackers, as reported earlier, while a six-year-old album track was still finding new listeners.
