Nairobi has its Wizkid date, and it lands on Jamhuri Day.
Detty Dezemba Festival has named Wizkid as Act 02 for its December 12 edition in Nairobi. The official festival site, run by KOLACOPIA and Active Vibes KE, shows six slots: Uncle Waffles was the first reveal, Wizkid is the second, and four names are still hidden.
The ticket page lists a 2 PM start running until 5 AM, an 18+ door policy and a smart dress code. The venue is still marked TBA. Early and Die Hard tiers have sold out. General Access II sits at KES 3,500, Duo at KES 6,800, Premium II at KES 10,000 and a five-person Squad pass at KES 16,500.
The organisers say their August edition pulled more than 20,000 people into one field. For December they promise faster entry and cashless M-Pesa bars. Delay towers and published set times are also on the list.
The Nairobi show opens a tight run. A day later, Wizkid is billed to headline Live Out Loud at Eagle Square in Abuja on December 13, then he opens Detty December Fest in Lagos on December 18. That is three headline dates in seven days across two countries. Wizkid has not posted about Nairobi on his own pages yet.
Still to come from the organisers: the venue and the last four acts. Tickets are on sale at dettydezemba.com.
