Mavo performing at indigo at The O2, London

Mavo Once Said He Was Hard to Understand. London Shouted His Hook Back at Him.

In a 2025 interview, Mavo said he was “very hard for people to understand,” and that he liked it that way. “When you’re easy to understand, you’ll be easy to access,” he said.

On Friday night at indigo at The O2 in London, he only had to say half a line. “Money,” he sang, and the room finished it: “Constant!”

The clips from the first UK date of his Business Crusade Tour show a standing floor packed to the barriers and a curved balcony lit up with phone torches, his name in gold letters across the screen behind him. “London! What’s up my city!” he shouts into one of them. In another, before the beat drops into “Money Constant,” he gives the crowd its instruction: “If you’re ready to get some money, say money constant!” They do, every time, while spark machines go off along the lip of the stage.

The room matters. indigo at The O2 holds 2,800 people, and for years it was where Nigerian stars played London before they could fill bigger rooms. Wizkid performed there for years before he started selling out the arena next door. FOLA opened his first UK tour in the same room in April.

Mavo got there with a song Wizkid is on.

“Money Constant,” his record with DJ Tunez, DJ Maphorisa and Wizkid, came out a year and a week before this show. Fan accounts posting from the show say he ended the night with the full performance. It was one of his six Apple Music Nigeria No. 1s in 2026, a run that tied him with Asake for the year when “Find My Babe” got there last week. The venue’s own listing billed him on his UK numbers: “Mofe” at No. 4 and “Aura Salad” at No. 6 on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart, and “Tumo Weto” in its top 10. Clips posted by @kaptainswago show SSSoundgawd joining him for “BB Lifestyle.”

How full was it? Mavo hasn’t said. Two days before the show, the London nightlife brand Cokobar posted that standing tickets were gone and only “a few Balcony seats” were left. By morning, HypeTribe was calling it a sell-out, and the clips don’t argue with that.

It is also a very different week from the one he had in September. On September 24 he apologised after old tweets about Davido, Ayra Starr and others resurfaced: “I have met most of these people and they actually turn out to be amazing people. I’m sorry for my misjudgment. Let love lead.” Five weeks later, the loudest thing anyone is posting about him is a London crowd finishing his hook.

The same 2025 interview had him admitting that fame made him want to stay indoors. “I get so overwhelmed by people talking to me and the constant interaction,” he said. In London, he asked a whole room for exactly that, and got it.

The tour picks up again in Leicester on November 1, then Manchester on November 8, a date Cokobar says sold out in October. Dublin is still listed as TBA.
