Shakira and Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai” music video has surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube, becoming the first music video released in 2026 to hit the mark.
As of Monday morning in Lagos (about 9:30 a.m. WAT), the official upload sat above 1.013 billion views. The clip went up May 23, 2026, and crossed a billion in about 105 days.
The track is the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, made for a tournament staged across the United States, Mexico, and Canada under the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
Earlier this month, “Dai Dai” also topped Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart, Burna Boy’s first No. 1 on that list as a lead artist.
Built as a call-and-response chant with Burna’s verse cutting through Shakira’s chorus, the song was made for big rooms. That shape has kept the video climbing well past its first release window.
