How the list has worked before
TurnTable ran the list as “30 Under 30 Power Players in Nigerian Music” in 2024, publishing it on August 12, International Youth Day. Each honoree came with a short write-up from a senior figure, including The Plug’s Asa Asika on Samuel Korie. The Class of 2025 followed on August 20, 2025, made up of “marketers, label executives, distributors, brand specialists, tour managers and more,” among them ONErpm’s George “Suss” Nyiam. This year’s class arrived in October; TurnTable announced the date on October 24.
