The milestone extends a run that has seen the Nigerian singer add roughly 500 million streams to her total in under four months, a pace that continues to set her apart among African artists on the platform.
The new figure builds on a trajectory that has been on fire since the start of the year. Tems opened 2026 as the most streamed African artist on Spotify for the month of March, pulling in more than 40 million monthly listeners at the time. That momentum carried into the following months, with her cumulative total climbing steadily from 5.5 billion in May to 5.9 billion by mid-July, and now past 6.1 billion.
