Seyi Vibez’s “GTA” Takes Apple Music Nigeria From Asake and Davido

SWAGUU is six days out, and the home board just flipped.

What you hear is Larry Lanes’ street-hop bounce under Seyi’s high-register chant. The hook names the game straight: “I don go many places. I don see many faces. Real life GTA.” Apple Music clocks the cut at about 2:35, with BXUJI and The Children of Africa on background vocals, and Damini Ogulu listed as executive producer. It is track 2 on the SWAGUU pre-release page under NSNV Inc / EMPIRE, the same 14-song set due September 18.

This afternoon on Apple Music Nigeria’s Top Songs chart, the July 31 single sits at No. 1. Asake’s “Forgiveness” is No. 2. Davido, FOLA, and Mayorkun’s “B4 B4” holds No. 3. Rema’s “Oh No” is already No. 4 on the same list.

The climb took the long way. “GTA” had been parked in the top tier for weeks without owning the summit. The U.S. Afrobeats Top 10 stamp for “Back 2 U” already put another SWAGUU cut on Billboard while “GTA” itself had peaked at No. 7 on that list. Today’s Apple crown is the domestic mark the rollout still needed.

September 18 is when the full album has to answer.
