Blaqbonez is making a habit of Asake. After “Chanel,” he’s back with “IKEBE 3000,” a dance-first pull-up that wants the chant more than the punchline, and the same night he finally put a street day on Nomadinho: 4th Prime.
October 16 is the date now. Chocolate City’s Blaq had already named the project for the month; pinning the Friday turns the Asake reunion into rollout pressure. “Chanel” was the spring proof that the pairing could carry a room. “FYP” and “BIG PERFORMER” kept his 2026 singles lane loud. “IKEBE 3000” is the one that asks the floor to move before the album lands.
On the record, Blaq steps off the hard-rap ledge. Melodic lines ride punchy percussion and a bright loop, then the hook sticks on a repeated “ikebe nwayọọ, nwayọọ” chant, body talk in party register. Asake’s tone lifts the middle without stealing the record; Johnson IP, Spynxdoor, and jaypopp1n build the bounce, with additional production from Ramoni and a mix from JayLon. The official video matches that ask: less manifesto, more motion.
Two weeks out from Nomadinho, the second Asake cut is doing campaign work. Keep the chant in rotation until the 16th decides what else belongs next to it.
