Ayra Starr’s London night on the Starrgirl World Tour is no longer a 2,000-cap Shepherd’s Bush show. After the UK presale sold out, the February 2 date moved to O2 Academy Brixton, a room that holds about 5,000 standing.
When the 20-city Starrgirl run landed on Oct 12, the biggest rooms were already across the Channel: Forest National in Brussels at about 8,400 and the Zénith in Paris at about 6,300. London, the city where she had just headlined the NFL International Game halftime, was booked into Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Three years earlier she had closed 21: The World Tour at KOKO, about 1,500. Shepherd’s Bush only added roughly 500 seats. Paris and Brussels grew by a factor of four.
The queue made that gap obvious. More than 11,000 people sat in the UK presale line for a room that seats about 2,000. Today Ayra posted that the presale had sold out and that the venue had moved “due to high demand,” with general sale still set for Friday at 10 a.m. BST through Live Nation. Ticket pages for Academy Music Group and Live Nation UK now list Brixton for Feb 2, doors at 7 p.m.
Brixton does not overtake Paris or Brussels on this routing. It does put London closer to the scale those cities already got, after a 2023 London night that barely cleared 1,500. The Africa dates promised for December still have no room size attached. For London, the onsale is tomorrow.
