Fireboy DML’s fifth album, ZUKO!, went up on Apple Music Nigeria a little before midnight on October 15, ahead of its announced October 16 release. All 13 songs were streamable in the Nigerian store by 23:34 WAT, and fans were posting the link from about 23:11.
The album runs 40 minutes and comes out through YBNL Nation and EMPIRE. It follows Adedamola, the 2024 album that drew the charge that he was playing it safe.
The guest list points away from that record. Jamaica’s Masicka is on “CLAAT!”, South Africa’s JAZZWRLD and Thukuthela are on “IMALI”, and Judah Earl shares the opener. Lojay, a familiar partner, turns up on “GODDESS”, as the sealed tracklist showed this week.
Here is the tracklist as it appears on Apple Music:
- DEAR FATHER (with Judah Earl)
- BY FIRE!
- CLAAT! (with Masicka)
- GODDESS (feat. Lojay)
- C’EST LA VIE
- IMALI (with JAZZWRLD and Thukuthela)
- ONE MAN REGIMENT
- KILOWI
- ONAZO!
- SEX LOVE UNDERSTANDING TRUST
- LIGHT OF DAWN
- MIMI NAWE
- FIGHTING
Producer credits were not public when the album went live. Apple Music lists only the YBNL Nation and EMPIRE copyright line.
“IMALI” is already his 25th Top 20 on the Official Nigeria Top 100. This month he told fans that they “don’t know me enough to misunderstand me” and that he does not sell music with gimmicks. The rest of the album went public before the date the label set.
