A day after release, the two Friday albums sit back to back on the Apple Music Nigeria Top Albums chart, one rung under two Nigerian albums that were already holding the top.
Fireboy DML’s ZUKO! is No. 3, up 148 places from No. 151. Blaqbonez’s NOMADINHO: 4TH PRIME is No. 4, up from No. 23. Above them, nothing moved: FOLA’s “9” stays at No. 1 and Seyi Vibez’s SWAGUU stays at No. 2, according to Kworb’s 19:20 WAT update of the chart, which HT checked at 19:45 WAT.
The songs chart shows how the two albums got there. All 13 ZUKO! tracks entered Apple Music Nigeria’s Top Songs. “DEAR FATHER,” with Judah Earl, is the highest at No. 50, followed by “ONE MAN REGIMENT” at No. 54 and “BY FIRE!” at No. 56.
Blaqbonez came in with three singles already on that chart, and all three climbed. “IKEBE 3000,” his song with Asake, is up eight places to No. 2, behind only Seyi Vibez’s “Back 2 U.” “BIG PERFORMER” is up 23 to No. 25, and “Chanel,” also with Asake, is up 14 to No. 28. Every one of the 12 other songs on the album’s Apple Music tracklist entered the chart too, led by “CA$H OUT” at No. 57.
That leaves the songs chart with a different shape. Fireboy has more new entries, but Blaqbonez has the one record near the top, and it was there before the album arrived.
The albums chart has its own wall. FOLA and Seyi Vibez held their places through a release night that moved everything below them. ZUKO! and 4TH PRIME now need the next few updates to show whether a first-day jump can hold.
