Blaqbonez went into release week with “IKEBE 3000,” his song with Asake, already running hot, and NOMADINHO: 4TH PRIME cashed that in with 5,809,310 streams on Spotify Nigeria in its first week, TurnTable reported today. The 15-track album came out on October 16.
The album also opened at No. 3 on Spotify Nigeria’s weekly Top Albums chart, according to WETALKSTATS. Spotify’s official chart page had not confirmed the placement at the time of writing.
That is roughly 830,000 streams a day, and about 2.56 million more than Fireboy DML’s ZUKO!, released the same day, managed over the same stretch.
On release day, “IKEBE 3000” sat at No. 1 on Spotify Nigeria’s daily chart with 284,171 streams, and all 15 album songs charted. The best of the new songs was “CA$H OUT,” at No. 24 with 126,829 streams, a few places below Fireboy’s top new entry. That points to the single doing much of the lifting in week one. On Apple Music Nigeria, the album opened at No. 4. Blaqbonez flagged on October 18 that “IKEBE 3000” had also reached the UK Apple Music chart.
He is already asking which song comes next. “been a week since drop, whats your favorite song on the album?” he posted on X today, and the replies passed 200 within hours.
The answer will show up in the second week’s numbers.
