Blaqbonez and Asake on the set of the IKEBE 3000 video

IKEBE 3000 Is Back at No. 1 on Spotify Nigeria, With Both Friday Albums Behind It

Blaqbonez built NOMADINHO: 4TH PRIME on singles that were already hits, and on the album’s release day one of those singles did the lifting. “IKEBE 3000,” his song with Asake, climbed four places back to No. 1 on Spotify Nigeria’s daily chart for Friday, Oct 16, with 284,171 streams. Kworb, in its 19:48 WAT update today, counts it as the song’s sixth day at No. 1 in 15 days on the chart.

It moved Seyi Vibez’s “BACK 2 U” down to No. 2, where it drew 280,591.

Below that, every song from both Friday albums made the chart: all 15 on NOMADINHO: 4TH PRIME and all 13 on Fireboy DML’s ZUKO!. Some of them were already there. “IKEBE 3000,” “Chanel” and “BIG PERFORMER” were all on Thursday’s chart, and the other two climbed hard: “Chanel,” also with Asake, is up 24 places to No. 9, and “BIG PERFORMER” is up 24 to No. 11. Three more are marked as re-entries after earlier runs: Blaqbonez’s “FYP” with Monochrome at No. 72, and two ZUKO! singles, “IMALI” with JAZZWRLD and Thukuthela at No. 46 and “CLAAT!” with Masicka at No. 54. The other 22, 11 from each album, are new.

The new songs tell a different story from the top. Fireboy’s highest entry is “GODDESS” with Lojay, new at No. 18 with 138,168 streams, ahead of every new Blaqbonez song. “BY FIRE!” is new at No. 34 and “DEAR FATHER,” with Judah Earl, at No. 37. Blaqbonez’s best new entry is “CA$H OUT” at No. 24 with 126,829, and if you scroll down to No. 120 you find “JONZIN,” the last of his 15.

Apple Music Nigeria showed the same split on Friday night, when ZUKO! and 4TH PRIME sat at No. 3 and No. 4 on its albums chart and “IKEBE 3000” was the Blaqbonez song near the top. The one change on Spotify is which Fireboy song leads. There it was “DEAR FATHER.” Here it is “GODDESS.”
