FOLA is still the name at the top of TurnTable’s artist ranking. The Ibadan singer sits at No. 1 on TurnTable’s Artiste Top 100 Nigeria again, which the chart company calls his 16th week at the top.
Asake is the closest challenger at No. 2, with Seyi Vibez at No. 3 and BNXN at No. 4. Davido rounds out the top five.
Asake’s spot comes off a big weekend for him: he just closed his tour at Paris’s Accor Arena, with BNXN opening and Tiakola joining him on “Badman Gangsta”, as we covered here. Two acts from that night now sit inside TurnTable’s artist top five.
TurnTable Artiste Top 100 Nigeria: the top 10
- FOLA
- Asake
- Seyi Vibez
- BNXN
- Davido
- Young Jonn
- Ayra Starr
- Zlatan
- Rema
- Wizkid
The run lines up with what FOLA’s album “9” has been doing on TurnTable’s charts. The album went to No. 1 on TurnTable’s Top Albums chart, as we reported earlier.
The rest of the top 10 is a who’s who of the current Nigerian streaming field. Young Jonn holds No. 6 and Ayra Starr No. 7. Zlatan, Rema and Wizkid fill the last three places.
Sixteen weeks is a long time to stay ahead of names like Asake, Davido and Wizkid. For now, nobody on TurnTable’s artist ranking has caught FOLA.
