Ayra Starr on stage at AfroPlus Fest

“Heaven Baby” Stays at No. 1 in the UK, and Its 13-Week Clock Keeps Running

Ayra Starr and ZAYN’s “Heaven Baby” is still the biggest Afrobeats song in the UK. The Official Afrobeats Chart published today keeps it at No. 1 for a second week, in its tenth week on the chart.

Blaqbonez and Asake’s “IKEBE 3000” stays at No. 2 and has now spent all three of its weeks there, first behind “SLICK” and then behind “Heaven Baby.” Asake also has No. 3 with “Gratitude,” in its last week on the chart.

The bigger change is further down. Official Charts lets a song stay on this chart for 13 weeks and no longer, and Mauvais Djo’s “Pile” and “Maladie” both reached that mark on last week’s chart, so both are gone today. Tyla’s “That Girl” jumps from No. 11 to No. 4 in its 13th week, so this chart is the last one it can appear on.

That rule now applies to “Heaven Baby” too.

The song spent eight weeks below Victony’s “SLICK,” which held No. 1 for all 13 of its weeks, before it went top last week. That climb came in the week Ayra headlined halftime at the NFL London game and sang it next to “Rush,” a few days after its video arrived. Her last No. 1 on this chart, “Who’s Dat Girl” with Rema, got one week on top last November before Tyla’s “Chanel” replaced it. “Heaven Baby” has now had two weeks on top.

Ten of its 13 weeks are used up. That leaves three more charts for the song to stay at No. 1, and the last of them comes out on Nov. 15.
