On an earlier TurnTable streaming chart, Seyi Vibez’s “BACK 2 U” sat at No. 3, about a thousand streams behind another of his own songs, “Ilome.” This time it is the one at the top.
“BACK 2 U” is No. 1 on TurnTable’s list of the most-streamed songs in Nigeria with 2.89 million streams. TurnTable says it is the song’s first week at No. 1. The chart covers the tracking week of Oct. 9 to 15, and “BACK 2 U” climbs from No. 3 the week before.
Only two artists made the top five. FOLA’s “miss u ii (nriri)” is No. 2 on 2.71 million, then Seyi Vibez again with “GTA” at No. 3 (2.53 million) and “Ilome” at No. 4 (2.33 million). FOLA’s “waf” is a new entry at No. 5 with 2.27 million.
The two have been trading places for a while. When “miss u ii (nriri)” gave FOLA his first solo No. 1 on the Official Nigeria Top 100, it got there without leading the streaming count. The song ahead of it was “BACK 2 U.”
Three of the five songs belong to Seyi Vibez and two to FOLA. Nobody else got in.
