Blaqbonez and Asake on the set of the IKEBE 3000 video

IKEBE 3000 Takes Nigeria’s Streaming No. 1 Ahead of Four Seyi Vibez Songs

For its first week on TurnTable’s charts, the song Nigeria streamed most belonged to Blaqbonez and Asake. “IKEBE 3000” opens at No. 1 on the Official Streaming Songs chart for the tracking week of Oct 2 to Oct 8, with 3.34 million on-demand streams.

The next four spots all belong to Seyi Vibez.

“Ilome” is No. 2 with 2.904 million, and “BACK 2 U” sits about a thousand streams behind it at 2.903 million. “GTA” follows on 2.89 million, then “Volume” on 2.57 million. That puts “IKEBE 3000” roughly 436,000 streams clear of the nearest SWAGUU track, in the same week the album spent a third week at No. 1 on TurnTable’s albums chart.

Radio heard the week differently. On the Official Nigeria Top 100, which adds airplay to streams, “IKEBE 3000” debuts at No. 5 (No. 1 on streaming), while “Ilome” holds No. 1 for a second week.

Blaqbonez drops his hard-rap edge for melody over a bright loop and punchy percussion from Johnson IP, Spynxdoor and jaypopp1n, Asake lifts the middle, and the hook is a chant, “ikebe nwayọọ, nwayọọ,” that tells dancers to take it gently.

It now sits on NOMADINHO: 4TH PRIME, the album Blaqbonez released on Oct 16, and on release day it was back at No. 1 on Spotify Nigeria’s daily chart. TurnTable’s weekly chart for Oct 16 to Oct 22 is the first to count the album.
