Six Months On, Asake’s “Gratitude” Has More Top 10 Weeks Than Any Song of 2026

Asake’s M$NEY came out on May 1, and almost six months later its song of thanks keeps finding its way back into Nigeria’s top ten. “Gratitude” is back in the top ten of the Official Nigeria Top 100 this week at No. 7, TurnTable Charts said on Wednesday evening.

The return gives the song 21 weeks in the top ten, and TurnTable says no song has spent more weeks there in 2026.

It had slipped to No. 11 on the previous published chart, when Magicsticks reached 100 weeks as the country’s No. 1 producer. He produced it. “Gratitude” was also one of four M$NEY songs to top the Top 100, with “Badman Gangsta,” “Worship” and “Forgiveness.”

On the record, Asake walks back through the run from where he started to where he stands now and thanks God for each step, over drums that OkayAfrica’s Emmanuel Esomnofu heard as close to Fuji, with trumpets floating on top.

Asake ended his tour in Paris on Saturday, where he brought Tiakola out for “Badman Gangsta” at the Accor Arena. TurnTable publishes the next Top 100 next week.
