Burna Boy has also surpassed 10.9 billion streams across all credits on Spotify, extending a climb that has moved steadily through the year, from 10 billion in May, to 10.6 billion in August, to 10.7 billion shortly after. He remains among a small handful of African artists to cross the 10 billion mark on the platform at all, with the bulk of that catalogue built on lead credits rather than features, a distinction that has kept him in close range of Wizkid for the most Spotify streams by any Nigerian act.
2 Billion Streams on YouTube Music in a Single Year
Rounding out the run, Burna Boy has earned more than 2 billion streams on YouTube Music over the past 12 months, the most recorded by any African act in that span. The figure sits alongside his own YouTube Music monthly audience record, which crossed 929 million earlier this year, and displays a 12 month stretch hinged majorly on the global reach of Dai Dai and the steady pull of his back catalogue.
