Mr Eazi and MOLIY Update Banku Across the Ghana Line on “Comfort.”

Mr Eazi has put MOLIY on “Comfort,” and the pairing lands where Banku Music always did its best work: across the Ghana line. The record is out today: mid-tempo, flattering, built for the same Accra-to-Lagos pocket that made Skin Tight feel inevitable.

Eazi was forged there, KNUST years in Kumasi, then Bankulize with Pappy Kojo and Skin Tight with Efya, both with Juls, and he never really left that lane. April’s See What We’ve Done with King Promise kept the Ghana conversation open; MOLIY, Accra-raised and still riding Shake It to the Max (FLY) from Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs summit into the Hot 100, is the next voice in that exchange. Ragee builds the pocket (the same hands behind Davido’s Unavailable and Ayra Starr’s Hot Body), and Eazi has already called the cut an updated version of his signature: gyal dem music, sweet and easy.

What you hear matches the brief. He opens soft in Pidgin on that old gbadun flattery (anybody who says she’s not fine is lying), and MOLIY answers higher on the bad-girl hook she’s been running under Bad girl SZN. The bounce stays Banku: bubbly bass, unhurried drums, space for both voices to trade without crowding. She doesn’t decorate the chorus. She owns it.

Comfort is live with the official visualizer. The Ghana line didn’t need a reunion tour to stay open, just another record that still knows the way home.
