Detty December in Lagos already runs on concerts, raves and late rooms. THIS IS ME wants twelve hours of that energy in one place.
On Saturday, December 19, M:E Entertainment and DAPO present the night in Lagos. Grammy-winning DJ and producer Black Coffee headlines. The organisers are building a music and culture event that runs sundown to sun-up for up to 5,000 people.
M:E Entertainment is the Lagos team behind Rampa Lagos and Black Coffee Lagos, the rooms that put Keinemusik’s Rampa and then Black Coffee in front of the city’s growing Afrohouse crowd.
THIS IS ME is their next step: a longer night under their own name, still with DAPO, still with Black Coffee on top. The theme is Mirror Mirror. Alongside non-stop music, the brief lists a mirror maze, an infinity room, live art and a VIP village. The organisers’ plan runs from 6pm to 6am, with a lineup of over 10 DJs still being named through their channels.
