Stade de France already has a Burna Boy chapter. In April 2025 the Port Harcourt star became the first African artist to headline the venue, selling out more than 80,000 seats and turning a French football cathedral into an Afrofusion night.
Today the NFL put him back on that same pitch for a different kind of kickoff.
On Sunday, October 25, he will headline the halftime show at the inaugural 2026 NFL Paris Game, Pittsburgh Steelers versus New Orleans Saints, back at Stade de France. It is the league’s first regular-season game in France. The announce puts African music in the middle of a night built to open a new international market.
“Paris gave me one of the biggest nights of my career, and to walk back into Stade de France for a moment like this means everything… representing African music,” he said.
Ayra Starr is already set for the NFL London Game on October 11 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
For an artist who has spent the year stacking catalog marks, including crossing 50 songs above 50 million Spotify streams, the Paris night is a live-stage receipt. A new market gets its first NFL regular-season date. African music holds the middle of the show.
