FOLA and Davido’s “2am in toronto” Finally Has a Video

FOLA kept “2am in toronto” off the singles run for 9. Today it gets the video. “its 2am somewhere in the world,” he wrote yesterday, promising the clip “with the Baddest @davido” for 6pm, and Davido reposted it within the hour.

The song is track three on 9, FOLA’s second album, and the only place Davido turns up on it. Before the album landed in October, FOLA had already put out “treat u right” with Ayra Starr, “attention!”, “fine ting” and “it’s over” with Bella Shmurda and Zlatan. “2am in toronto” came out with everything else, and Nigeria found it anyway: a day after the album came out it was No. 5 on Apple Music’s songs chart in the country, one of four FOLA tracks sitting directly under Seyi Vibez’s “Back 2 U.”

The stills FOLA posted give away the look. One room is all red curtain and red velvet, the two men sat apart on a sofa; another is a pale arched hall where FOLA stands in a white suit beside Davido in black leather.
