Olamide’s “Burukutu” Walks Into the Top 10 With Twelve Days to Go Before Time and Space

Olamide has twelve days left before Time and Space, and the one song he has given out from it is already in the national top ten. Olamide’s “Burukutu” debuts at No. 9 on this week’s Official Nigeria Top 100, its first full week on the chart.

He put it out on the evening of October 20 with a TG Omori-directed video and the album date in the same post. Three days later it was the biggest climber on Spotify Nigeria’s daily chart. The song runs a roll call, and Wizkid gets a line of his own: “Eyan Wizzy 1 on 1, wo’n de be.” Before “Burukutu,” his only solo single of 2026 was “Rock Me Gentle” in May.

FOLA is still above all of it, with a third straight week at No. 1.

Two songs that climbed Spotify alongside “Burukutu” that same Friday in October also make their first appearance. Mavo’s “Goyard” comes in at No. 50, and 6uff and Odumodublvck’s “Salt” at No. 62. King Promise has the next highest new entry after Olamide, with “Melody” at No. 34, while DoubleGee’s “Ori Agbako” lands at No. 40.

Peruzzi, Zlatan and Shoday’s “INFERNO” starts at No. 67, and Chuka’s “CHIDINMA’S SONG” at No. 75.

Time and Space is out November 16. Four months later, on March 25, 2027, Olamide headlines The O2 in London.
