BNXN is set to headline the next Mainland BlockParty, and this one comes with a theme that fits him perfectly. Tagged “Still In Charge,” the show holds this Saturday, November 7, in Ikeja, Lagos, from 8PM to 2AM.
The theme, “Still In Charge” is the title of his latest EP, which dropped around Nigeria’s Independence Day and continues the idea he built with his 2025 album, CAPTAIN, a body of work about growth and control over his own sound and direction. Since then he has linked up with Sarz for the collaborative project The Game Needs Us, making 2026 one of his busiest years yet. The Mainland BlockParty show reads as the live chapter of that run.
It is also a homecoming of sorts. BNXN has a history with the brand, having featured on the Confluence Project compilation that Mainland BlockParty released with Jameson years ago, alongside the likes of Joeboy, Ladipoe, Naeto C and Terry Apala.
Mainland BlockParty has grown from a small Ikeja gathering in 2018 into one of the most reliable live brands in Nigeria, known for packed crowds, sold-out editions and a monthly calendar that has also travelled to New York. Earlier this year it brought Olamide home for the “Mission 26K” New Year’s Day show, and it has kept the momentum going with headline nights across the mainland and the island.
Fans planning to pull up can get tickets at mainlandblockparty.com. With Detty December only weeks away, this Saturday night in Ikeja looks like a strong warm-up for the season.
