Omah Lay’s “Clarity of Mind” Crosses 400 Million Streams on Spotify

Omah Lay’s sophomore album, CLARITY OF MIND, has officially surpassed 400 million streams on Spotify, cementing its place as one of the standout Nigerian projects of the year.

The 12-track album now ranks as the 29th most streamed Nigerian project of all time on the platform, and it marks the second time Omah Lay has landed a project on that list, following the sustained run of his debut album, Boy Alone. Beyond the all-time ranking, CLARITY OF MIND currently sits as the 2nd most streamed Nigerian project released in 2026, trailing only one other project from the year.

Released in April, CLARITY OF MIND arrived as a deliberate departure from the emotional weight that defined Boy Alone. Omah Lay has described the new body of work as the product of a period of withdrawal and healing, a stretch of time he spent away from the noise to reset mentally before returning to the studio. That shift in headspace comes through across the album, from the reflective opener “Canada Breeze” to the rest of the tracklist, which trades some of the raw vulnerability of his debut for a steadier, more grounded sense of self.

The milestone adds to a healthy list of accomplishments that OMAH LAY has racked up as an artist, and judging from his MO, the numbers will only get better.
